Richard Weaver

Employed since 2014. Partner since 2019. Dual qualified and registered European Patent attorney and UK Patent Attorney. Representative before the UPC.
Richard has worked in private practice patent law for more than 15 years, and has represented a wide range of local and international clients, from SMEs to large corporations, and in many technologies, to obtain patent rights and portfolios worldwide. He also represents foreign law firm clients at the EPO.
Richard entered the profession in 2004 after a PhD in geophysics and R&D for an electromagnetic survey company. He trained as a patent attorney in the UK where he spent the first 10 years of his career before joining Håmsø.
His case experience includes, e.g., oilfield and marine tools, fluid processing, and software-based modelling and data processing.
