Kjell Arne Hoff

Before joining Håmsø, Kjell Arne worked at Nutreco Acuaculture Research Centre (ARC) for almost twenty years, specialising in aquatic pharmaceauticals. As project manager, he oversaw the development of a new medicine for the treatment of sea lice, and for eight years was head of ARC's research department into fish feed production. Kjell Arne was also responsible for the patent portfolio of Nutreco Aquaculture.
Kjell Arne has served as appointed expert judge in patent cases at Oslo City Court and Borgarting Court of Appeal. He lectures on intellectual property rights at the University of Stavanger, and has also delivered a number of talks to clients and industry on intellectual property rights and patenting strategy.
Kjell Arne holds a PhD in marine microbiology from the University of Bergen, Norway. His thesis focused on the fish pathogenic bacterium Vibrio salmonicida. His working languages are English and Norwegian, with some basic knowledge ofGerman.
