Andy Caulfield
Head of Oslo Office | Associate partner | European Patent Attorney | UPC-representative
Andy is a UK and European Patent Attorney and leads our Oslo office. He has a first class Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Strathclyde University, and completed his Masters project on mechanical stress modelling at Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan. Andy also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London and is a Representative before the UPC.
Before joining Håmsø in 2021, Andy worked offshore as a Drilling Engineer at a multi-national oilfield exploration company, and then trained as a Patent Attorney at private practice firms in the UK.
Andy has experience working on a variety of technologies including mechanical devices, consumer products, medical devices, oil and gas exploration technology, automotive technology and aerospace technology.
