Expanding Our Offering to the Capital of Norway

Just in time for the 75th anniversary of our company’s founding, Håmsø, headquartered in Stavanger on the west coast of Norway, is proud to announce the opening of its new office in Oslo, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s history.

The new office will offer the same comprehensive legal services as the Stavanger location, with the additional benefit of ensuring clients in the east of Norway can reap the rewards of face-to-face meetings and a stronger local presence. This expansion allows the firm to better serve its growing client base, particularly those located in Oslo and the surrounding regions.

The Oslo team will comprise Andy Caulfield and Josh McLennon, both fully-qualified European Patent Attorneys with years of valuable experience both in the UK and Norway. Both move from Stavanger, and will continue to provide both local and international clients with practical, down-to-earth advice. Their presence in Oslo will ensure the firm can deliver top-tier intellectual property services in one of the most dynamic regions in Scandinavia.

As Norway’s largest city and major economic hub, Oslo was the natural choice for the firm’s first expansion. Home to many multinational companies, startups, and research institutions, Oslo is a thriving centre of innovation. This new office positions the firm to attract top legal talent from across Europe, and strengthens Håmsø’s commitment to being the go-to choice for clients in Norway and abroad.
